Patch 3.5 (Hotfix)

SUMMARY:

This is a small hotfix to address some issues related to the Medieval Event and the maps. We are also still adjusting the issue related to zombies lagging players in places with high amounts of zombies. 

 

Full Patch Notes:

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Vehicles now apply a handbrake to forcefully slow down the vehicle after exiting it, this prevents vehicles from rolling away and desyncing.
  • Optimized Zombie Networking:
    • When zombies are far away from players or are part of larger hordes, their networking is limited to decrease the bandwidth used by their movement packets. This change has lowered the zombie network usage by 70%.
    • This optimization fixes an issue where people with really bad connections suffered from ping spikes when farming the airport.
    • When zombies are close to you, this system does not apply (unless there are more than 50 of them in a big horde around you).
  • Bear Traps & Claymores will now grant the kill to the owner who placed them.
  • Spawn protection will now sync properly when a plays has packet loss or high ping. 

MEDIEVAL EVENT

MISSIONS:

  • Changed the way the medieval event missions work. Now it will only counting if you pick the items up if they are spawned by the server.
  • Changed the amount of zombies you need on the Massacre mission.

 

OPEN WORLD

MAPS:

  • MEDIEVAL
    • Added a no-ghost area to the castle part to prevent people from ghosting back in.
    • Fixed a collision wall under the bridge which made it possible for players to see through.

 

 

SURVIVAL

LOOT & ITEM CHANGES:

  • Throughout this week, we will be adjusting the prices of the items in the marketplace.

 

MAPS:

  • COLORADO V1
    • Fixed some misplaced objects at Lone Tree Farm.
    • Fixed some terrain issues at Cottonwood where you were able to glitch inside rocks.
    • Fixed a misplaced fence in Clearview next to the garage.
    • Fixed some terrain issues at Smallville behind Fire Station.
    • Removed the trees on the streets next to Smallville.
    • Fixed some terrain issues at Frosty Pines around the Post Office.
    • Added a clinic to Crystal Lake with medicine spawns.

 

  • OREGON
    • Fixed some misplaced objects in Rio.

 

  • MEDIEVAL
    • Added a no-ghost area to the castle part to prevent people from ghosting back in.
    • Fixed a collision wall under the bridge which made it possible for players to see through.
    • Fixed the in-game revive bug.

 

Estimated patch size: 50 MB

Patch ETA: 15 minutes

Estimated downtime: 15 minutes

Pre-patch notes might be changed if we need to fix / add something.

hi there, nice patch. but know i am not able to play in any server or any mode. i can get to player model, change stuff, but as soon as i try to enter any server game shuts down. and  i mean total shut down, like back to desktop, without any error messages ?????????
