Dear Community,

 

As planned we are releasing patch 3.4 including fixes and improvements and the new Season Pass 04. Next to that we are also releasing the new Pulse skin collection. We are working hard on the next upcoming event although it's not just ready yet. Expect more information about that soon.

 

Now, without further ado, let's jump in to the patch notes:

Overall Updates:

GENERAL:

  • Various new assets have been added to the game related to a future medieval themed event. More information about the Medieval 2020 event will follow soon.
  • Fixed an issue related to the recently added prefab spawn system. This is the system that for example controls the random appearing helicopter crashes on the maps. There was an issue that could cause the site not to spawn on private servers.
  • Fixed a bug that caused players not being able to pick up particular items in secrets rooms.

VEHICLES:

  • Improved / Updated textures for the racer vehicle.
  • Fixed a bug causing cars to de-sync with clients.
  • You can no longer exit a vehicle while trying to glitch inside a locked area. People were using cars to glitch inside these rooms / areas. We'd like to remind all of you here that we have systems in place to ban players attempting this. Don't do it.

3D MODELS:

  • Upscaled textures for the airfield control tower.

SPAWN SYSTEM:

  • We are working hard on the current spawn system in the game. We have heared your feedback and made according improvements: players will no longer always spawn in the exact location of the player spawn, but instead  spawn in a close area around that particular spawn. This will always be random. We hope aim to improve the current situation.

 

Medieval 2020 Event:

The Medieval 2020 event will not start just yet, so hold on! With this update we are already teasing some of the content for you guys.

  • The vault NPC textures have been updated to fit the Medieval 2020 event style.
  • The trading lounge has been updated to the Medieval 2020 variant.

Season Pass 04:

In this update we are releasing Season Pass 04. The pass will directly be available after the update in the in-game marketplace for 2000 GC. A lot of new, unique content has been created and added to the game for this Season Pass and overall we are very happy with the result.

Based on your feedback we have created Season Pass 04 and there is a couple of things that we'd like to address and explain:

  1. This Season Pass will be available and over a period of time that is over 2 months. It will end on July 31, at 12:00 PM (CET) 2020. The reason for this length is so that everyone has enough time to potentially finish it and claim all the rewards from all the levels.
     
  2. The levels and XP needed per level hasn't changed compared to previous passes. We are overall pretty satisfied with the current level and XP amounts so there is not really a reason (yet) to change anything around this subject.
     
  3. New exclusive content has been added for the Season Pass 04. This goes from unique sprays and taunts all the way to skins. A lot of next-level looking skins have been added and will only be available through the season pass. (Screenshot below of the new "SVD Hell" skin that you'll only be able to get through Season Pass 04:)

    And no, this is not the ONLY unique skin / content for the Season Pass 04. There is a lot more!

  4. There is also a dedicated key item (both for Survival and Open World) available in Season Pass 04. In this case, players can get the Season Pass 04 Key 7x for each Survival and Open World through the rewards.

    Players can use these keys to enter an exclusive Season Pass 04 zone that can only be entered by players with this particular key. In these areas players have a chance to find even more exclusive Season 04 Pass-only content. And yes, even have a chance on getting ANOTHER SVD Hell skin recipe.

    Risky? Yes. You'll have to venture through Colorado V2 and open the door, although since this is map based, you can also just go on your private server.
    Remember, you'll only receive 7 keys in total for both Survival and Open World each. You'll only have 7 tries as they key disappears from your inventory once the door is opens.

    Where are these "areas"? Well, they are caves actually. They are only on the Colorado V2 map for both Survival and Open World and there is only 1 on each map. You'll have to find the location yourself. Good luck!

Survival Updates:

GENERAL:

  • Private servers will no longer have a group / clan limit in Survival.

CRAFTING SYSTEM:

  • Fixed a bug causing crafting items to be lost when logging out while crafting.

OREGON:

  • Removed the code lock at the door area of the pyramid as it was causing confusion for players as they thought this was a locked room.

COLORADO V1:

  • Fixed a helicopter crash site close to Crystal Lake. This crash site wasn't aligned properly with the terrain.

 

Open World Updates:

COLORADO V2:

  • Increased the loot at Zeta Military Base.

COLORADO V1:

  • Removed some left-over models related to the previous event. These were located close to Fallsdale.

OREGON:

  • Removed the code lock at the door area of the pyramid as it was causing confusion for players as they thought this was a locked room.

 

Battle Royale Updates:

COLORADO:

  • Fixed some texture issues of walls close to Frosty Pine.

ARIZONA:

  • Fixed / improved the collision around the fire station where players were able to get on top of the roof. This is no longer possible.

 

 

Estimated patch size: 100 mb.

Patch ETA: Update will roll out as we speak.

Estimated downtime: 1 hour.

Pre-patch notes might be changed if we need to fix / add something.

So you fixed the issue of the heli-crash not spawning on private servers. Good for you. Now that it is actually spawning I have one question. What is the purpose of the heli-crash spawn? All that spawns is the same junk loot that is common everywhere on the map. I thought there would be something special. Like maybe a key for a secret room? Yet another addition that was hyped as something special. All we got was more of the same. It's just like why do Super and Alien zombies still drop helmets and armor? And why does the Toxic zombie drop fewer items than the other 2? Just makes no sense at all.

For me the SZ, alien, toxic, slicer, +++, should be ultimate boss, and you have to get a team or a great strategy to kill one off this. And if that is applied the loot should be greatly increased. For now I can kill a slicer using antibiotics and PKM, in the floor. Is to easy. Make the SZ common at slicer life bar and up the anothers at scale. 
Increase damage from this monsters. 

Make dificult to kill to the great loot makes more sense.

So, I've seen you mention a new vehicle a couple time now. My thing about that is, WHY?????? The vehicle system is just about back to where it was before you supposedly fixed it. Vehicles are back to flipping and flying through the air. What makes it bad is the fact that you can only place a vehicle with it pointing north. When driving off road, the tree limbs are so damn low to the ground that you cannot see anything in front of you. And when the vehicle leaves the ground and goes sailing through the air, it decelerates. When it lands it has to build up speed again. And the fact that you said that 'Now you can adjust the vehicle in mid-air to land squarely on the ground' is a joke. As far as I'm concerned, the vehicle system is as bad, if not worse than it was before you 'fixed' it.

If you are indeed going to introduce a new vehicle, FIX THE BROKEN SYSTEM BEFORE YOU INTRODUCE IT.

I finally took the time to kill a Slicer. Wow. Was it tough? Sure. Was it worth the expenditure of ammo? Hardly. the best piece of loot it dropped was a karambit. And why in hell are you all so fixated on having everything drop heavy armor and helmets? Even the rare locked room has nothing but standard loot to offer. I about fell off my chair laughing when I opened one and saw the six item boxes. What a big disappointment when I picked them up. Again with the helmets and armor and regular automatic weapons. Oh sure, you toss in an occasional sniper but it's not really worth the effort you have to put forth to gain entry. Also, why don't you post the locations of these rooms? It's not like they are a special event. They are part of the game now. After all this time you should be able to do a much better job of keeping players interested in all aspects of the game, not just PVP and Battle Royal. Beyond those to parts, all you do is run around a stale map killing zombies. The fun has long since turned to boredom. Maybe a total wipe isn't such a bad idea.

Oh, I forgot to mention. You won't have to see many more of my posts exposing the weaknesses of this game. I only have 5 days left on my private server. After that, it's all in your hands. If you apply yourself properly, you can save it. Otherwise, this game will die. Your staff list has already dwindled to a bare minimum with many of those remaining not posting anything in these forums. Your own reluctance to respond to not only mine, but many of the other members that actually give a damn about this game. As for me, I may or may not play every day of my remaining 5 days. Like I have stated so many times before. I have many other avenues to entertain myself. Many of the games I've gone back to playing are quite old, but yet, they still function the way they are supposed to. Cars drive like cars, bullets still travel in the trajectory they are fired, grenades actually go where you throw them, and, in forested areas, it looks like a forest instead of a gigantic shrubbery field with 50' tall bushes that have branches that cover the ground and protrude through walls. Oh, and the enemy, whether it be zombies or a hostile army, do NOT no-clip through solid objects. And you are actually able to walk up a curb and climb stairs without having to jump.

Food for thought.

I see as a big waste something that for me was like the first SZ in the old War Z, where ammunition was limited and killing one was very difficult with stanag 30 (at the time it was necessary to use shotgun).

I think about the "secret room". Why they not make a especial map with especial zombies and itens and the way to go for it is entering in the secret spot and teleport to this map. Use oregon parts to do that.

The cars system works for me in roads. Out of cities the car accelerate all the time because the wheels don't touch the ground. Makes sense, but the velocity decrease in ar like a "brake" push button.
And if you move the car in axes you need push the button 2 times to work.
