Hi everyone! We have been reading all the content from the forums and the official discord, and we thought that we should make a thread showing all the addressed feedback. The objective of this post is to keep a detailed record of all the suggestions and changes applied to the Survival Mode. The goal is to ensure that the entire community follow the changes and can consult the advances. We choose to organize all the information in the same post making easier to check future changes and keep the forum unsaturated, helping the developer team to make efficient and precise decisions that benefit the evolution of the game. Now players will have the leading voice and an efficient mechanism to be heard by our developers. The changes are going to be divided it in the next categories: Done, In progress, On hold and Discarded. Achieved ideas based on your feedback and suggestions: Airdrops: Airdrops are now spawning on different locations on the map. Done Week/Weekend events: There is always new exciting weekend events. Done Official price list for the Survival mode: A list based in community feedback exclusive for the survival mode. Done Weapon automatically switch between compatible magazines: Now weapons will automatically switch between compatible magazines prioritizing ammo and size. Done Airdrops drop faster: Reduced the necessary time for an airdrop to touch the ground. Done New zombie models: A few zombie models got reworked and brought back in to the game. Done Several stability, performance and server improvements. Done New car models: New cool looking vehicles. Done New attachments and gear: New attachments like AR/Sniper barrels, Silencers, stocks and new gear like the ghillie suit and the leather backpack. Done Crafting system: A nice and simple crafting window for those who like farming materials. Done Mission system: A new mission system with new Jobs and rewards each season. Done Model correction: Several models and attachments were improved and corrected. Done Fully reworked Colorado V1 Map exclusive for the survival mode: A small and optimized map adapted to survival experience and player feedback. Done Rebalancing the craft system: Improving the craft system according to looters feedback. Done Rework the exchange missions: Reworked the weapon Exchange contracts, this missions are avalible on the mission tab and their rewards can be claimed on the Blue Ridge Safezone Done Optimizing Grass: The Grass model has been reworked and replaced to optimize the game. Done Hunter backpack for suvival mode: A bigger backpack for all your trading needs . Done Increase the chance to get infected by the zombies. Done Picked by a DEV for next patch: Loadouts in survival mode Killing another player yields experience Crafting gives you XP Work in progress: Daily rewards for premium accounts ( Survival ) : Now all premium accounts will be getting a daily reward in the survival mode. In progress Loadouts in survival mode: Adding the loadout system to survival mode, so gearing won't keep you away from the action. In progress Killing another player yields experience: Players Will get a certain amount of experience by killing other players. In progress New weapons: Adding new weapons and variants to survival mode + craftable. In progress New interesting missions: Adding new interesting and mysterious missions for those who like to complete tasks and follow a history line. In progress Rework clan territories. In progress Holding territories bring rewards: holding a certain amount of territories becomes more attractive. In progress Striker gets stuck very easy BUG: The Striker (vehicle) gets stuck on several areas of the map, Special thanks to Took his time for notifying about this bug. In progress Invisible Zombie showing on the radiation areas BUG: There is a bug on the radiation areas where a zombie turn invisible but it can still damage the player, Special thanks to Took his time for notifying about this bug. In progress On hold: Bringing the cars back to the official servers: Cars got removed from official servers according to community feedback, since players didn't like the idea of getting rolled by another person. On hold Adding another Safezone close to Frosty or the airport ( Colorado V1 ). On hold PVP Flag: A server with hotspot on the map that can be captured like a regular clan territory. This location changes every week and it prizes the clan who hold that territory for the longer amount of time. This spot can be located on one of the next locations: Campos, Airport, Boulder City, Smallville, Clearview, Rockyford and Norad Military Base, it only prizes the active clan members who helped in the capture and it's also limited by maximum clan members allowed by the server, This flag has no cooldown so another clan can start capturing when the other team is eliminated or respawning. On hold Discarded: More Maps and servers for survival mode: There use to be a lot of different maps and servers for every region, but since many of them were not used and thanks to community feedback we choose to keep a smaller amount of maps and servers, prioritizing quality over quantity. I just wondering why you guys keep adding more maps to the PVP server tab? Its getting to a point now that Im just changing regions to find people to play against on these maps. The participation on these maps are dipping insanely low because the amount of people who play as a 4 or 5 man group on a server that has a population of 15 or less. It makes the newer/casual player have almost no chance at having a shot at scoring some kills. I myself have played and do play as a 5 man group on these servers to compete with most of the groups doing it, but after a few runs of wiping out the server people stop joining, and i find myself fighting the same clan endlessly, but after a while it gets boring and not to mention it ruins the fun for other people trying to get into the smaller fast paced maps who don't have high tier players. My suggestion to fixing this issue is to eliminate ALOT of same maps selections. Change the rotation to be more specific. Right now you are running 6 of each map on each region, You are spreading the community so thin their is barely anyone to fight on these servers. We play these servers to avoid the huge clans and have some fair fights. Why not change the cap to 3 players on pvp severs? Lets face it the game is in a different state than it was a year ago, the population has dipped very low but yet nothing has changed on these servers. We dont need ping capped servers i have yet to see a player even enter one of those servers mainly because so many people are playing from different regions trying to find some half decent pvp, so just remove them. So lets figure out a fix, instead of having Smallville, Rocky , Springvalley and now west oaks all having 6 servers each per region change that to 2. Lets say you have a set rotation on a 1 or 2 week basis for example our servers would look like this. Rocky 001: (anything) 0/20 Rocky 002: (Sniper only) 0/20 Smallville 001: (Anything) 0/20 Smallville 002: (AR only) 0/20 And you can go on and rotate these maps/choices on a 2 week or monthly basis for example change the sniper map to smallville on the next weeks rotation and give rocky the AR only server. The problem is you are giving people to many options to completely rule a server with a 5 man group and everyone is spread thin across the mass amounts of servers you keep adding. So maybe change the server cap to 3 per clan and force people to fight on the same map as other groups of 3. Its to easy to avoid fighting certain people on certain maps because the selection is huge, these are supposed to be fast paced pvp maps not where clans feel safe to bring 5 awps in and rule a server. Because right now the only option is to fight at rocky against the 5 man clan sitting in the middle of the map watching spawns with awps, Its just not enjoyable to most people entering these maps. I just think some of these things need to be addressed and nobody is speaking out about it. These are my ideas to make the game better, and the people who comment saying "get good" are the people abusing these servers and ruining the experience for a ton of the community, Not everyone enjoys playing as a 5 man group on a 10-15 population server. its boring and takes the fun out of the game for most people. The same thing goes for the official open world servers aswell there are just to many options for people to avoid contact with other players. TL;DR: To many map selections, not enough participation, spreading the community thin, need more strict map rotations and server limits. Leave your opinions/suggestions down below!
so basically, the administrators felt that it was necessary to spend their "valuable" time on a launcher that retains absolutely zero relevance to anyone or anything. let this demonstrate a prime example of how much time is wasted due to poor decision making, and ostensibly, the overarching concept of big picture ideas. now, let me quickly address the most apparent realization: the decisions that developers make without consulting the community. I have seen countless threads relating to minor changes to newz (and let me say, these standpoints are from players who ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME), but it always seems that the developers are quick to dismiss the fact and return their opinions with negativity. it's actually funny because they sit there and wonder, "how was our game so popular? what needs to be done to bring everyone back again?" WELL, the decline of the player base is inevitable with the continuation of stale content and lack thereof. again, it's hysterical that they simply can not fathom the fact that this game needs changes. However, I will give credit where it's due; the map cycles were a neat idea while they lasted, but, the idea suddenly ceased? perhaps, it's a lack of interest altogether which would make this thread meaningless. anyways, here's some of the suggestions I've gathered by a few minutes of exploring: carry on with the map cycle (every two weeks the options of maps change. i'm tired of seeing spring valley & rocky fucking ford. where tf is clear v2???) introduce some new maps. these are the pinnacle of the game continue to make new weapons colorado v1/v2 are basically the same. blend the two together and mold colorado v3. it has never been done and would create uniqueness caliwood is boring and nobody plays it. it's ridiculously unoptimized and the entire map size is too large for the people that actually play. if you're going to keep it, shrink the map size. now I do understand that there is a lot more that can be suggested, but I do feel that those are slightly more significant than others. newz developers, if you want to revive your game and continue to generate revenue, (which is, unfortunately, the most apparent source of inspiration) start changing things, and most importantly, interact with your community more than ever. they are, and will always be, the integral foundation of newz. p.s: this is not a thread aimed to attack the developers, nor is it fueled by hatred or revenge in any way either. I tried my best to instrument constructive criticism in my lengthy paragraphs.. but it seems this is the only way to receive attention. in conclusion, please know, that I, and many others, respect most decisions that the staff make, but I would like to shed some light on important viewpoints regarding the route that newz is following.
