    Dear Community, It's almost Easter and that means time for a patch! This time we have added a lot of Easter content which is all part of the Easter 2019 event that is starting soon. Next to that we have made some improvements overall and we have done some performance optimizations. Overall a nice patch! Now, let's jump into the patch notes. Easter 2019 event: With Easter upon us, we will be doing a week long event to celebrate this special date! New theme skins (which will be limited) will be brought out! You will be able to hunt for Easter Eggs on the map and also have Easter Egg wars with friends and enemies. There will also be a special character model given to all players during the event to celebrate this Holiday. In addition to all these goodies that you'll be able to find in game, you will also be able to farm and farm and farm as we will also be having Double XP and Double GD during the week. GENERAL: Fixed an issue with server passwords and the recent / favorite games list. Fixed an issue where it was not working to hide your missions in the screen with "L" (default). Fixed an issue in the Russian language which was causing crashes. Fixed an issue in the Chinese language which was causing crashes. MODELS: Fixed the LODs of the office building. These LODs were added the last patch and were causing some issues. Fixed the Convention Center and created LODs for it. Item & Skin Updates: ADDITIONS: Added a bunch of Easter content for the Easter 2019 event. More Information about the Easter 2019 event will come soon. New grenades have been added: Easter Grenade Yellow. Easter Grenade Green. Easter Grenade Blue. Easter Grenade Light Blue. Easter Grenade Red. New consumables have been added: Easter Egg Yellow. Easter Egg Green. Easter Egg Blue. Easter Egg Red. Easter Egg Orange. Easter Bunny Chocolate. More. Updated the MP7 Banana Kong skin. FIXES: Fixed the materials for all the Infinity skins which were too bright. This was mainly in the Caliwood map. Fixed the skin recipe of the Custom Guerilla Helix and Rapido. Open World Updates: Trading Lounge (Open World): The trading lounge is now in Easter style! This for the Easter 2019 event. Updated the shadows on ultra quality settings. Caliwood (Open World): Updated terrain settings to improve performance. Updated depth of field settings to improve performance. Fixed the small military area under the bridge which was completely flying. (Reported by the community) Colorado V1 (Open World): Updated terrain settings to improve performance. Rocky Ford (Open World): Added back a red house to Rocky Ford. (Requested by the community) Competitive Updates: Maps: We are going to update the available maps in the PVP Servers section. The map "Hangar" is going to get removed and the map "West Oaks" is going to be added. We will see how this rotation is received by the community and based on that we can implement further changes & improvements. GENERAL: Players can now see the amount of players queuing in that region when queuing. Hopefully this will motivate players more to stay longer in a queue; before players would leave when queuing for 5 minutes because a game wasn't starting. This is a very understandable behavior but unfortunately that has lead to not a lot of games starting and a lot of players not being able to play this game-mode yet. (Here is how it looks BTW:) Village (Competitive): Contest point B has been moved more towards the defending team's spawn. Fixed the camera of the end screen for the attacking team. (Team that ended attacking in the final round) Smallville (Competitive): Added more smaller props and objects around the map to improve gameplay and give more cover for players. Fixed the flying objects in the mechanic buildings. Clearview (Competitive): Added more smaller props and objects around the map to improve gameplay and give more cover for players. Removed the big truck at contest point B. Players could glitch inside this truck and abuse that. Survival Updates: Maps: We are going to update the available maps in Survival. Based on a poll and feedback from the community we will change the available official maps. This means that after this patch only Oregon and Colorado V1 will be on the official list. Colorado V2 will still be available but only as private server. Note: Content of the lockers that are placed on the disappearing servers will automatically be moved to the player's global inventories. Oregon (Survival): Fixed the terrain under the bridge. Players were able to glitch inside of the terrain at some places and abuse that. Colorado V1 (Survival): Updated terrain settings to improve performance. Colorado (Survival): Updated terrain settings to improve performance. Cliffside (Survival): Added a Survival version of Cliffside for upcoming events. More information about this and the release will come soon. Battle Royale Updates: Arizona V2 (Battle Royale): Fixed the new open buildings and also added interior props and loot to them. Fixed some flying rocks close to the school. Removed all the big rocks from the entire map. (There was some issues with them) Estimated patch size: around 250 mb. Patch ETA: Around 9-10 AM (CEST) on Tuesday April 16. Estimated downtime: Around 1 hour. We will try to keep the downtime as little as needed. The streamer who's name Shoroh so toxic man, he always disrespect Admins of NewZ, disrespect this game, disrespect russian community etc. On streams he inciting ethnic hatred, lie about some ppl like they thief and using drugs. He always report players just because they kill him, and he scream STREAM SNIPER, STREAM SNIPER, on streams he say: pls admins of NewZ i invite so many people in this game, can u ban one idiot who always kill me. Other streamers doesn't behave like Shoroh, pls help us. So, dear support of NewZ can you do smth, cause he face of your game,and face of ru community, because he most watching streamer.

    It's Easter again! That means a brand new event week in The New Z! We are very excited to share what's happening this week with you all! First of all we would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter. For this week we have a lot planned; sales, new content, events, discounts, giveaways and more! Before we jump into any event details let's make clear over what period of time this event is taking place: Start: April 17, 12:00 (CEST) 2019. End: April 24, 12:00 (CEST) 2019. Also, you can also view the event information at: https://playnewz.com/event.php Now, let's jump into the details: Easter Festival Contracts: This year we are bringing a kind of Quest into the Event which includes Contract Part 1, 2 and 3. You have to finish these contracts as often you can to collect Easter Trophies to be able to finish part 3 and to get the final prize of the Easter Festival Event. Contract Part 1: You have to eat 50 Easter Choco Bunnies to get one Easter Trophy. Contract Part 2: You have to collect 50 easter eggs to get one Easter Trophy. Part 2 has 5 different versions since there are different colored eggs find-able. Contract Part 3: You have to collect 10 Easter Trophies to get the Easter Festival Bunny Suit. The Bunny Suit contains 2 items, one for the body and one for the head. Easter Festival Places: We have added Easter Festival places on every map in Open World and Survival. These places are mainly for the Easter Festival Contracts but can also be used to farm Easter Festival Content. Double XP / GD: During Easter 2019 there will be a double XP and GD event. Easter Items: The following items will be released and available in-game during the Easter 2019 event: Easter Grenades in all kinds of colors. Easter eggs (consumables) in all kinds of colors.     Dear Community, It's time again for a patch! Patch 2.31 will roll out later today. At the moment we are still preparing stuff and we will be ready to patch the game / servers soon. Further info will be shared in these patch notes / on our social media channels. Something to notice in this patch is that Competitive will be ready for the first public BETA testing. Further information can be found under the "Competitive Updates" section of these patch notes. Another separate announcement will follow soon with all the information about this BETA release. Are you ready?! Now, let's jump into the actual patch notes; Overall Updates: GENERAL: The 'F6' aka attachment menu has gotten a little rework. Icons have been reworked and two new attachment types have been added in the options: Stocks and Barrels. Please note that a barrel is something different than a muzzle. Please note that these two attachment types are purely stat-based attachments and won't visually be attached to the weapon (for now). Fixed some animation data errors. Fixed some material type errors. Fixed / Improved an issue related to a crash while entering a vehicle. We have majorly improved this system and should overall be more stable. We are still looking into further possible issues as we are improving the system but a lot of work has been done here. GAMEPLAY: Added a new feature that allows players to ping locations. This can also be done in a group. This way players can visually indicate to their team mates what exact location they mean when calling out enemies. Pings can be done for yourself, in a group, or in a clan. However, it will always prioritize the group. Other players wont receive your pings when they are too far away. Default ping button is set on the "mouse wheel click button". Players who were using this key bind for other things before will have to re-bind this key. Pings only appear for 5 seconds. This is an initial system where we are extensively looking for further feedback. If a lot of players like this system we will continue adding more to it based on the player demand. Further ideas we have are adding custom pings, settings for players to change such as the duration of the pings and more. Please let us know your feedback! MODELS: The "office" building, known from places such as Clearview, is now opened up. (Preview: https://imgur.com/a/028oJ1J) Also updated LOD1 and LOD2 versions of this model. FAST LOAD SYSTEM: We have received many reports over the past months of how fast-load produces lags and fps issues, so a rework was due! Fast load uses multi threading now: Your FPS will be a lot less affected by objects loading now. New Algorithm: Fast-Load load things around you in a smarter way. Also fast load will no longer cause freezing issues when entering or driving a vehicle. TREES: A big on-going issue at the moment is where there is an unfair gameplay situation related to the pine trees. It's happening that player A gets shot by player B from behind a tree, where player A is not able to see this player at all. This is extremely unfair and should not be happening at all. (Click here for a good example of the issue) For this reason we have looked into the pine trees where we found that the reason for all this happening was the fact that the lod versions of the trees were slightly reshaped and did not match the original lod0 model. We understand this can sound very technical and we do not want to jump into too much details but it pretty much comes down to that. Therefore we have made the following changes: Completely reworked the pine tree models / lods and physics models. The models now all have the same "bark" shape and every player doesn't matter from what distance will now have the same exact tree shape and physics. Fixed some texture issues related to some pine trees and lods where some textures were stretched out sometimes. Item & Skin Updates: UPDATES & FIXES: Fixed an issue related to the SVD Shark Attack skin where, when players attached a different scope, the shark attack skin would dissapear. You can now properly attach scopes to this skin again without the skin disappearing. This was fixed in patch 2.30 but reverted due an error. This is now working properly. Fixed another issue related to the SVD Shark Attack skin where, when changing scopes, some parts of the skin were flying in the air. Fixed an issue related to some weapons where attachment ID's didn't match the weapon. Fixed an issue related to the iron sight of the FN Scar CQC Christmas skin. The mosin can now also have the new sniper stock and barrel attachments attached. Lowered the decay of all shotgun types from 11 to 6(5). Note: Decay is the value of damage distance. When decay distance is reached, a bullet will start to lose damage. Lowered the spread of all shotgun types from 11 to 8(7). Lowered the recoil of all shotgun types from 9 to 7(6). Lowered the damage of the FN FAL from 35 to 32. ADDITIONS: Added a new stock type attachment for snipers called: "Sniper Stock". This is a new attachment type. More information about this can be found under the "general" part of these patch notes. Added a new stock type attachment for assault rifles called: "AR Stock". This is a new attachment type. More information about this can be found under the "general" part of these patch notes. Added a new barrel type attachment for the snipers called: "Sniper Barrel". This is a new attachment type. More information about this can be found under the "general" part of these patch notes. Added a new barrel type attachment for the assault rifles called: "AR Barrel". This is a new attachment type. Everything mentioned above applies to the overall game aka all the game-modes. Survival Updates: GAMEPLAY: The crafting system now supports items to be able to be crafted using already skinned items. This is a huge improvement. We weren't able to for example add some backpacks to be able to be crafted since this system was not supported. We will re-look into adding these items in the near future. All placed lockers will be wiped. Don't worry, all items inside will be transferred automatically to your Global Inventory. The reason why we are wiping all these lockers is so the new "place down systems" apply. In a recent patch we have made it so you can't place lockers close to each other, but this never really applied as many of these lockers were already placed. We will now go from a new fresh start, with these systems in place. Note: This will only happen in the Official Survival servers. Private servers are unaffected. LOOT: Added the new sniper barrel attachment to the super zombie and alien super zombie loot. Added the new sniper stock attachment to the alien super zombie loot. Added the new assault rifle barrel attachment to the military rare loot. Added the new assault rifle stock attachment to the super zombie and alien super zombie loot. COLORADO V2 (Survival): Clan territories have been added! Increased the spawn chances of the vehicles with around 30%. The newly opened building now has interiors added. COLORADO V2 (Open World): Majorly improved the overall terrain quality for players playing on high and ultra. The newly opened building now has interiors added. COLORADO V1 (Open World): The newly opened building now has interiors added. CALIWOOD (Open World): Fixed some player spawns where a players would spawn inside certain objects or trees. Fixed some broken trees around West Oaks and San Pavel. Adjusted / tweaked the render distance of some tree collections. Adjusted the overall render distance of the terrain to improve performance and loading times. Adjusted / tweaked the terrain textures. Should overall look better now. Overall decreased the amount of trees in certain since there was just too many trees . Adjusted the overall render distance of the terrain to bring better performance for the player. OREGON (Open World): Fixed some terrain issues where players had issues to walk. Fixed some miss-placed vehicles in some military places. Some of them were even flying inside trees! Adjusted / tweaked the road next to the safe zone where players could glitch in. Adjusted / tweaked the terrain settings for potato / low quality settings. Competitive Updates: Finally! Competitive BETA testing for public will be opened somewhere this week. With the new Village map in place and after a lot of recent testing we are happy with a result that we want to share with you all. A separate announcement will follow somewhere this week where we will share further detailed information and a planning about how we will initialize the BETA release of the new Competitive game-mode. As of how it looks right now the new Competitive game-mode BETA will be playable by particular players somewhere this week. OVERALL: Fixed some animation bugs. Some animations such as reloading and shooting weren't properly stopped when a round ended. This could cause a crash. Fixed a bug that caused players to get kicked by the server. Quick slots are showing again in competitive. VILLAGE (Competitive): Added the new "Village" map. More screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/WOmlsk2 CLEARVIEW (Competitive): Fixed some flying fences at the trailer park house. Replaced some vehicles at the contest point B. Added the new open buildings with interior. Battle Royale Updates: GAMEPLAY: Added a 30 second cool down to the radiation zones. It will now wait 30 seconds before moving again. ARIZONA (Battle Royale): Fixed some terrain issues around the big lake. Fixed some flying objects inside the school. Changed the time of the day to have better lighting. Remember this map has a frozen time. Changed / tweaked the position of some rocks. Added some collision walls around the big hangar in the snow area to prevent players from glitching on top. Estimated patch size: around 100 mb. Patch ETA: Somewhere today, 25 March 2019. Estimated downtime: around 1 hour. Pre-patch notes might be changed if we need to fix / add something.     Discussing what we could bring to the game mode to improve the experience and talking to some players, we came across this idea... Reviving teammates. Why? A lot of players feel bored in Battle Royale when playing in a duo because if you die early, you can be forced to watch (or wait in the lobby) for 20-30 minutes on a match. This would help you stay in game longer, giving you a bigger chance to winning and, most importantly, have more fun. How? Reviving would work as in most games that have this function. Your teammate gets knocked down. You will have X seconds/minutes to revive him and it will take X seconds for the revival to complete. Getting shot will interrupt the revival and you will have to start over. You can ONLY revive players who queued up in a group with you. You cannot revive others. Other details are being discussed and feedback and ideas for this is appreciated.

    Dear Community, The time has finally come that we have decided to open up the Competitive game-mode to the public. It's still not a 100% finished product and there is still some tweaks and fixes to be made but to help us finalize this brand new game-mode we invite YOU to help us! How to join the BETA? Now, to not rush things and stress the server too much the Competitive BETA game-mode will only be available to players who have an Extreme account subscription, Legendary or are Official Fredaikis partners. We invite all of you to play the BETA of Competitive and help us finalize the game-mode. Feel free to stream and share the content everywhere! NOTE: Deluxe and Lifetime Premium got added as well. Please respect and understand that we haven't opened the BETA for this new game-mode completely for the full public. We just want to make sure there is no major issues and the game-mode is finalized to a solid point. If everything goes according to plan, we will release this new game-mode to further player groups VERY soon. How to play? If your account meets the requirements (Explained above) to join, all you have to do is go to the "Competitive" game-mode button in the main menu. After this create a character and simply click on the top right of the screen on play. A queue will start and you will join as soon as there is enough players queuing up. What is Competitive? Competitive is a brand new game-mode in Infestation: The New Z. This game-mode has been in development and promised to players for a while so it's very essential we start releasing it to the public. The game-mode takes the New Z mechanics to a deathmatch player-vs-player environment where there will be 2 teams fighting each other in rounds to win the game. There is multiple ways to win a game, there is an in-game economy where players can buy better items to start rounds with and much more. We will be jumping into each core feature right below: THE MAP POOL For now servers start with one of the three random maps we made available. The main reason we chose for this and not just one dedicated map is to keep variety in the games for players. Of course we do consider adding an option in the queue where players can choose what map they want to play on. For now, this BETA, we will keep it like this so we can get enough players in the servers. Current maps in the pool are: Smallville Clearview Village THE QUEUE SYSTEM The queue system is completely dynamic. It takes the players "skill level" and using that it queues a player against / with other players that are around that skill level. Right now, as this is the first public Competitive release ever the queue system is very soft; almost any player will get queued with any player. We expect this to slowly fall in place and adjust over time where in the end players will be queued based on their skill. PLAYING WITH FRIENDS You can actually play the Competitive game-mode with friends. If you want to do so, create a party with them. The party leader then has to start the queue. You will queue up together with your friends and when a game is found, you will all join together and be in the same team. Since the current Competitive is a 5 versus 5 mode, you can only queue up with 5 players max. (Meaning you + 4 other friends) THE WARMUP SYSTEM After a player has joined the server a little "warm-up game-mode" will be active. This is basically a warm-up where players fastly spawn in with random gear sets and weapons to kill other players. The warm-up depends on how fast the remaining players join the game but usually lasts for around a minute. After this the actual Competitive game will begin. There is a short pause and players will be moved to each side of the map (team a and team b). THE TEAM SYSTEM After a player has joined the server, it will be placed in a team. Current team size is 5 so in one Competitive server there will be 10 different players. 5 in each team. There is team A (red) and team B (blue). Team red is always the attacking team and team blue always the defending. THE ROUND SYSTEM The Competitive game-mode has rounds where each round is a set amount of time. Please note that things like round time, amount of rounds all depend on the map. This is all dynamic and will be tweaked depending on the BETA testing. Right now every map has 10 rounds. Teams switch EVERY round. This means on round number one you would be team blue, and on round number two you would be team red, etc. This to vary the gameplay as much as possible. THE PURPOSE Each round the defending team has to defend the objectives for a certain amount of time, where the attacking team has to try to attack / take over one of the objectives OR kill the entire defending team. The attacking team (team red) can win a round by: Fully taking ONE of the objectives. Eliminating the entire defending team (team blue) (5 players) The defending team can win a round by: Defend the objectives in time. When the time is over and the attacking team hasn't taken any objective, the defending team wins. Eliminating the entire attacking team (team red) (5 players) A team can win the match by (in this case) winning 6 rounds aka best of 5. There is 10 rounds in total so it is possible that the final score can come down to a 5-5 but in this case the 11th round will start and that round will decide which team will win the match. Some things to note: During a round when a player gets eliminated, he can spectate the remaining players of his team. Players will NOT respawn until the round is over and the next round starts. When an attacking team is starting to take over ONE of the objectives the other objectives are automatically disabled. This means that the attacking team can not take over two objectives at the same time. THE ECONOMY SYSTEM Every round the losing and the winning team receive a sum of dollars. Players can also receive dollars when killing another player for example. These dollars can be used at the beginning of any round where players can buy better gear and weapons. Players lose their gear and weapon when they get eliminated. Other players will be able to pick up the gear and weapons from the player that got eliminated. COMMUNICATION Teams can communicate with team members using voice chat. There is also a team and global chat. THE RE-JOIN SYSTEM Crash? Got kicked? We know that this might be an issue and therefore we have integrated a re-join system. It's very simple. If your game crashes, just restart, go to the Competitive game-mode and click on the top-right on "Play" and it will re-join you. If it doesn't let you in, keep trying. We are still improving things here. When a player gets disconnected from the server for some reason FURTHER INFO Skins work just like in any other game-mode. Purchased skins by players can be used in this game-mode. Competitive is it's own unique game-mode and nothing other than skins / cosmetics can be transferred / used from other game-modes. A lot of the stats, such as round times, winning / losing money will be tweaked depending on the feedback from this BETA. The future of Competitive Of course this is not just it. We have a lot of ideas and things we want to do for the Competitive game-mode to make it even more fun and unique. Just so you all get a little idea of what things are that we have in mind to do we have made this small list: Ranks. Where players have ranks and a leaderboard to compete against other players. We definitely aim to add this to the Competitive game-mode very soon! Option that players can choose the map when queuing. Further tweaking and improving the game-mode.     Hello. Here are some thoughts about new content for the Nether, that might be usefull in development: 1) New NPC, who gives contracts for players. You choose from several repeatable quests from list (maybe done in daily\weekly form). - Liquidation \ bounty hunt. Activates target on map (could be deady nether-monster with x2 HP\damage (or more, depends on difficulty), player have to eliminate it in certain time period. Reward is money\gear. Also target could be guarded with simple nether mobs. - Courier. It's already been implented in game, the goal is to transport package from one safezone to another. Additions: add HP for package (enemy attacks damage it); big\heavy packages slows down player, so he becomes an easy target, but also reward should be bigger. It'll be great if quest have simple description, like "friendly settlement runs out of water, bring it to them" or "settlement is in need of transistor, broadcast is not operational" (in this case package could be damaged because of fragile contents) - Tresure hunt. Player could purchase coordinates of a spot (approximate zone, for ex. 30x30m) on the map, where he can find some valuable loot. After activation loot appears on spot, as well as nether-mobs. - Gathering intel. Player have to travel to different areas where he can find specific radar stations and for a certain time period collect data from them. This actions could attract nether mobs. 2) Living world. The main problem of the game was not only in cheater and bugs. Core and setting of the Nether is great, but world in general was quite empty, so players couldn't find enough activities. Besides addition of new quests there are several ways to make "living world" feeling: - Human NPCs in the world. Some of them could be placed in settlements with simple animations like standing at the bar, sitting on the top of wrecked car, moving from point to point, sleeping etc. Also some convoys moving from settlement to settlement, some NPCs could scavenge on their roots and fighting with nether creatures. - World bosses appears in certain points, it would be great if it'll be brand new creatures, big ones and deadly, so players must group together to face them. - Factions. Free PVP is pretty simple idea, but adding faction will rally players together and give them purpose to hunt down enemy factions and maybe raid their settlements\bases. - Unique nether hunter creatures. The main difference between simple nethers and hunter ones is in distance of player detection. When Hunter detects player it start chasing him with specific sound and animation for a long distance, so player could be took by surprise any time. - Unique paranormal weather events. It may look like dark red storm coming, and if player couldn't find shelter in a few minutes the storm kills him (or poison in some way, make debuff or smth). 3) Map extention and\or dungeons Current nether map is not very big, and in some areas are quite empty. If developers wants to start new chapter in game I think new areas to explore are must have. Also dungeons are an option - it could be accessible through undeground holes and then new map loads (so it would not affect the main map = wouldn't load servers badly). It would be great if dungeons will be proceduraly generated from some blocks connected to each other in random way, so you never know what to expect. I understand than most of this suggestions are hard to create, but some of them as I think could be added to the game without significant production cost.
